I am re-wiring my '72 K5 with American Autowire's Classic Update kit. The connector they provide for the steering column is a flat connector, whereas the OEM is a semi-circle so that it'll fit through the stock bowl when disassembling the column. I really do not want to use the flat connector as I have my doubts it would fit through the bowl if I ever have to take the column apart again. I've found an adapter that appears to go from body-side OEM connector to aftermarket column flat connector (pictured below) but I want the reverse. Anyone know the part numbers and/or source for a connector housing and the pins for the OEM side so I can modify the American Autowire harness to fit the OEM column plug?

I have no actual experience trying it with the '72 column, but in the newer one, I bend the wires at a 90* angle coming out of the plug on the flat one, in order to make it all go through the housing as best as possible.

I think I depinned the new connector and utilized the half moon housing. Either that or I cut and solder the wires into the half moon. Can’t remember which is was anymore.
