Cold weather today so no serious work. My steering column is tired. I am hoping someone can tell if it is original or if it was from another year. Part of the cover is loose but it seems to function fine.

Is there a company that refurbishes these columns?

I have another column but it seems to be from a 93 or later GMC Truck.

LMC has some parts but it's hard to tell what goes with mine.

Photos of mine attached and a photo of the other column is included.

Any help or ideas appreciated.

That column is 84-91 with the wiper switch mounted to the column. There is a guy in Washington state that rebuilds them. I can look up his contact if you want it.

That would be fantastic. So, to be clear, the one IN MY K5 looks to be a 84-91?

Yes. There's also an aftermarket theft deterant cover that has been installed.
OK...that is what has been confusing me. I thought it was super strange. I want to remove that cover then go there to see how bad it looks.
