Well I took apart top half of column, made a list and priced it. Decided on getting a rebuilt one since it's just a little more plus fully looked over other then what I have. I think the aight was columns galore. I'm looking at auto shift no tilt for $425.What do you need?
So do they give you any money for your old column?
The price seems steep to me, but I have been into several columns, plus have spares... tilt usually has a high price.

Depends on lots like time you have to spend vs $$$.
I took challenge on since didn't have the $$$ and would do again.
Probably tear apart fully clean real good and inspect all parts.
I had wobble and already tightened famous bolts that loosen up. Turned out mine was bearings (can get from GM still) and tube it self was bent. Got 1 part I needed from member here.
Post up see if anyone has a column for parts and would send them to you!
I can say everyone here has helped my non 4wd knowledge out a lot and if I can help you in any way let me know!
Have the tools to take it apart?
Fortunately my friend has all the tools and has been helping me out. I'll list the parts when I get home. Thanks for your inputDepends on lots like time you have to spend vs $$$.
