steering column problems

hey i have a 91 suburban and i have been having problems with the tilt steering column ever since i got it it is loose very loose right at the tilt part of it i replaced it with an almost new tight 90s suburban column but after about a month it also became loose at the same part do you guys have any ideas tricks or something i can do to remedy this problem with out having to get rid of the tilt column?

Do a search. there are a number of threads on fixing this. It needs to be tightened.

If it's not covered in any of that however, one very important piece of information is that you never, ever, use the steering wheel to pull yourself into the vehicle.

My column was tightened up 5+ years ago, no loc-tite, and is still just as snug as it was then. I don't use it to pull myself into the truck.
