What would I need to do to remove the whole steering column and put a new one in? My steering column just sh!t the bed hard core. I can't even start my truck up now. Plus if I do this I can start using my old '85 keys instead of this key that does not have the GM logo.
Thanks
Adam

Unplug all the wiring off the top side of the column under the dash. Unbolt the steering shaft from the column in the engine compartment, unbolt the steering column from the firewall(big trianglur shaped flange piece)and unbolt the last 2 bolts which are under the dash directly behind the dash where the column goes under the dash(basically under that little access panel on the dash under the column)....oh and the tranny linkage arm(if its a auto tranny).
