Hello. i have a 73 Jimmy. It needs a new steering column. I also have a 1987 3/4 ton suburban 4x4 tbi parts truck. Will the suburban steering column fit the 73 jimmy?

It will fit, wiring will be different. (The way the column bolts to the steering shaft is different as well)
Possible to convert probably, but you've got wiring and headlight dimmers on the column vs. dash/floor on the earlier.
Why does it need a new column? You can fix the loose tilt problem, which is going to be easier if that's the issue.

cool...I'll look into repairing the one thats in it now....what will i need to replace to make it tight. What should I look for?

It's just a efw bolts inside the column, usually. Friend had a '73 that the internals had actually broken because of the wear, but they aren't normally that bad.
