Steering column swap

changing the column in my manual trans 82 with one from an 86 auto for my 6.0/4l80. Going from dash wipers, floor highbeams to having it all on the column. What I want to know is the wiring fairly straight forward? What am I going to problems am I going to encounter doing this swap?

I got everything figured out BUT the wipers. The newer column does not have pulse wipers but my truck does. They don't actually work though so I'm just going to eliminate the module. The plug on the newer column has 5 pins (pink,purple,black,grey,light blue) With the switch and pulse module out of the question the plug in my 82 truck has 6 pins (grey,black w/blue stripe,grey,purple,black,pink) I have another 5 pin plug i can re pin I just don't know what colours to connect to what...?

Ive looked at several wiring schematics and none that I have seen yet are really helping me any
