Will a sterring coulmn from a 1st gen k5 bolt in a 2nd gen k5? I know the wireing will be different, not worried about that. Also did the first gens come with tilt?

I dont know the differences in first and second gens..
however I put a 85 column in my 78 and LOVE IT..
high beams and wipers on the column... dunno about why the wiper washers arent working.... I had a switch wired in anyway... will fix that some day when time permits.... LIKE THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN!!!!

They way the columns bolt the the dash/firewall bracket is different.
