whare to buy a good hi-pro steering pump and hevy duty lines... any ideas thanks massacre...

Never heard of a "red head steering gear? There is nothing wrong with a stock pump and lines. Why are you wanting to change this stuff?

well i spent the money to upgrade drag link and tie rods to heim joints and
a ord steering brace.. just want better than stock thats all.

If this is a DD as well as a wheeler then you just down graded by using Heims. Heims are weaker and don't last anywhere near as long as a TRE/DLE.

He is saying if you drive this everyday the heim joints will wear out way quicker than the tie rod ends or drag link ends because there is no way to grease a heim joint.

I tried to browse that site a number of times and their design is so bad it gives me a headache.

Not trying to put your upgrade down or anything I know lots of guys that run heims and like em

On a street driven truck they do wear out fast. Alot of heims are self lubricating. As long as you stay out of mud and sand they will last a while.

Now what is this redhead steering widget you are talking about?

Got a link

Cool your jets there man. I ran heims for 6 years, they got loose and sloppy, I put alot of road miles on my truck which can almost be harder than off road miles. Me personally I think the biggest advantage of TRE over hiems is when mine wears out I go back to Napa and get a new one.

My opinion,

As far as those steering boxes go they look fine to me I have never dealt with them so can't really offer an opinion. I would think they would be fine though

nothing for nothing, but you came on the internet looking for opinions and you got em. There just that, opinions. Dont get fired up when its not what you wanna hear. arguing on the internet and really gettin pissed is worthless. :doah:Use whatever you want to use then post the results. Good or bad.:waytogo:

its not you i was looking for help thats why i made a post not
to get bashed thanks...

Nobody is bashing you by any means, they are just stating their opinion on the parts and the potential drawbacks of that type of part.

i have ran this setup for years now, with no problems.. i saw bullet proof tie rod and draglink setup in a issue of four wheeler mag... i guess they suck too! any way here is the link for red-head
http://www.redheadsteeringgears.com/

I've never heard of Red-Head and they're local to me. It would be nice if they listed prices on their website but it sounds like they have a solid operation.

West Texas Offroad(http://westtexasoffroad.homestead.com/) also does steering gear rebuilds/porting and steering pump upgrades. I've worked with them in the past and had a great experience.
