Steering gear box

I have a donor 1980 k30 that I'm going to take out the hydroboost system and put it in my 77 jimmy. Do I need to keep the steering box out of the k30 or will the one in the jimmy work?

1980 is the split year when some boxes used the flare fitting lines and some used the O-ring fitting lines. I would pull the steering box as well "just in case" they are different between the years.
