steering help

Its a 79 jimmy 4x4. Sloppy steering bump steer. Just finished front axle, ball joints,drag links, tie rods where good. Looks like steering gear and shaft. Steering gear has a metal cap at the end and moves in and out with a clicking noise. Shaft has a little slop at the bearing retainer. Cant find a bearing listed anywhere. Any ideas or recommendations.

Steering gear has a metal cap at the end and moves in and out with a clicking noise.

The steering box? Nothing should move on the box other than input from the column side and output at the pitman side. And the bearings are hard to find but I think a few members have figured something out. I wouldn't know, haven't had to deal with that yet.

I just last week got a kit for my 84 from the world famous Auto Zone that had both bearings and all the seals in it. I don't know if a 79 is the same or not.
