Hey guys I need some help with my k5. Recently I've noticed when i'm driving that my steering wheel catches when turning and just stops for a split second. I replaced the bearings in the column a couple months ago, has a newly rebuilt steering box and a jeep Cherokee steering shafts instead of the rag joint. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Pull the jeep shaft and see if the steering wheel does it by itself

I bet it's in the steering box. I rebuilt mine but forgot to brush up on the instructions...I unknowingly dropped those ball bearing things in the wrong place and mine did what you said...then it broke real fast. Good advice to pull the shaft and turn the gear and the wheel separately to see what's going on for sure. Check ps fluid level and make sure it's bled properly. May be air bubbles?

Check the stabilizer for a dented cylinder. It happened to me once.
