Has anyone thought of moving the steering box forward to get the pitman as close to the centerline of the front spring eye? This would increase the length of the drag link and put the pivots closer to the arc the axle travels.. Seems like it would work pretty well..

real simple . . . crossover steering kit and 2wd box .

unless you move the axle forward a lot then you might need to move the box a little bit even with crossover.

I moved the steering box forward on my old blazer.

Its not simple. Forward about 1" and up about 2" if I remember.

It was literally such a pain in the but to do I could cut the frame off in front of the motor mounts and rebuild the whole front end to do it.

It would work better though if you used a smaller radiator
