So sometimes when im going to take a turn in my Jimmy, the power steering belt seems like its slipping. I got a new belt and it did the same thing. I tried belt dressing and it didnt help. Any suggestions before i yank out the old stuff and put in all new?? i dont want it to start slipping and hit a car lol.
It is full of fluid and there are any leaks in the lines (that i can tell)

full of fluid. my buddy said its prolly losing pressure somehow. But if that was the case it would do it all the time. Right?

watch it and have someone else turn the wheel. If it's slipping, you'll see the pulley stop. and tighten the crap out of it, especially if you're only running 1 belt, i.e., no a/c.

I once had to loosen the fan clutch bolts, then tighten the p/s belt, then retighten the fan clutch belt to get it tight enough.
