Steering? Or not...

First off just like to say hi to everyone I'm the new kid on the block. I recently got an 86 chevy 1 ton with a 6" lift. I had to bolt the gear box on tight to start with but the question is. The drag link from the pitman arm to the axel is way out of shape. It drops fast and hard. I've heard drop pitman arm and raised block on the axle, high steer cross over. Oh yah and if you haven't figured it out yet I know enough to be dangerous just not reaalll good, but I am learning. So can anyone tell me whats a guy to do to cure the steering on this farm tractor?

crossover steering might be a better option.
