So i just put hydro assist on my truck everything was new from the column to the ram, new filter, new cooler, rebuild box, new res, new pump, new xj shaft, new tie rod ends and drag link ends, torqued shackles with poly greasable to 80lbs and spring perches to 140lbs. The only hting i wasn't sure on was sector shaft adjustment and i was told to tighten it down and back it of 1/4 turn then snug the nut down. After bleeding the system i test drove it and the system seemed a little jerky so i figured still some air!!! After checking for play i noticed a little play in the box! the xj shaft would move the box input but the sector shaft would not move. Very small play tho and figure would adjust it later. how ever after test driving it today i noticed the Ring, washer and seal where the sector shaft is where pushed out the bottom of the box and being held in place by the pitman arm. Not sure why this happened could i have mis adjusted the sector shaft from the top. What do you think?

Right off the top of my head, and bearing in mind its 1AM here, it sounds like you got a bad rebuild.
Those parts should not just fall out.
If no dirt has gotten in, and its not damaged, you might be able to take the box off, put the parts back in and tighten or attach what holds them in.

But, if you have any warranty, I would take it back.

Box was a junk yard box that 4x4high rebuild for me and the pump was brand new from the parts store, stock pump that I modified as for more flow/pressure! I talked to Scott he feels that the pump modds might be to much for the box! Should I buy another box (would that be stronger) or just unmod the pump?

I figured that the pump had been modified, it's making too much pressure.

As for the box, I would talk to Scott directly about that.

Ya I did he agreed it's most likely the pump I will pull it and undo the pressure mods

So there are several mods to the power steering pump i did I am thinking undo or replace the pieces that increase pressure and leave the mods that increase flow would this be wise? Or should i just put it all back to stock? Would that be enough to operate the ram easily. Also can you help me determine what mod dose what exactly.

I drilled out the large fitting this dose flow so i thought i would leave that

I stretched the spring to 2" not sure what that dose (pressure or flow)

I shaved a little of the limiting stud (pressure) so i would replace that

and last i notch the hole in the end of the large fitting not sure what that dose (pressure or flow)
