Its been raining alot in Tucson for a couple of months now and I've noticed that when I'm cruising down the road and one of my tires hits a half way deep puddle it will pull real hard to that side. I've drove a few older trucks before I got my Jimmy and never noticed this with them. Is this normal or is there a possibilty theres something messed up on my front end?

ever hit a big ole water hole with both tires, you loose a lot of momentum for a few seconds. Depending on tires, and if you hydro plane or not, it is normal to get a pull, unless its a crazy hard pull. Id sugest checking your ball joints(if you have em) and tre's to make sure everything is tight

Yeah, I know a little pull is normal but I didnt know how much was normal on a K5. This thing actually scares me to the point where I put a death grip on the steering wheel if I see a puddle ahead just to prepare myself. Every time it grabs it feels like I'm gonna run off the road. I was thinking that it could be just because of the size of my tires. I'm running 33 x 12's, do you guys think that it might be because of the width?

i run 35x12.5 on my jimmy and it pulls but i don't think it's REAL bad. i'm not worried about it, every car i've driven does that

Bigger tire , bigger pull . Just hold the wheel and go . But you aren't supposed to be flying through the water anyway :thumb:

yeah, i like to splash the college kids, but since the speed limit on campus is 20 MPH it get kinda hard to do

If there really is something wrong with the steering on your k5 I'd think that you would have bump steer and death wobble, but It cant hurt to check
