I just lost power steering this morning while driving my burb. The pully is extremely lose (can rock it back and forth 1+ inch each way). If anyone has these parts for sale, please let me know!

Shouldn't be anything wrong with your pulley, the pump bearings are what went out and that's why you can wiggle the pulley all over the place. Just get the proper puller and remove your pulley and buy a reman pump from your local parts store.

Oh, no kidding! I'd never seen one do that before, so I figured the whole deal was shot. Thanks!!

Tore it down and hit the parts shop.. I picked up a pump, but no one sells the pulley. It appears that the key slipped and pressed into the pulley. The key hole looks something like this:

And I think it should be like this:

Anyway, no one sells those pulleys.. tried some junk yards, but I guess the ones in my area don't have any. Looks like I will need to do some more searching, unless anyone has a pulley and key they would like to get rid of =)

Why not change out the pump for the press on pulley style? The keyed pulleys are getting harder and harder to find. The pressed on pulley pumps are a direct swap for the keyed style as long as you keep it to the early year pumps. Try 75ish or so.

Yeah, I already did the core return on this one... but I will probably have to go that route if I cant find a new pulley soon. Guess it will have to wait until after my trip to Utah this weekend.

Thanks for the help!
