steering shaft tech article??

I put a tilt column in my 75 jimmy project along with my new psc steering kit. I be looking for a decent tech write up on the xj steering shaft swap, or any kind of tech on getting rid of that stupid rag joint.

the factory shaft I took off had famale splines at both ends the tilt column I put in has some kind of different end on it??

I'm guessing the tilt column you got was from a later year truck. I believe 1978/9 is when they switched. I could be wrong, but if you do the Xj shaft swap this will take care of the problem. Or you could just grab the shaft out of a later truck.
