If your talking about the tapered stud that goes in the long tie rod end for the steering damper, close to the drivers side,I had a tough time getting the one off my 82 K2500 when I went to replace the long tie rod and the tie rod end on the passenger side.
I used a pitman arm puller, mine happened to fit the tie rod where the hole is for that stud good enough ,and I used my air impact to tighten it up,then I had to belt it with a 5 lb hammer (the area on the tie rod around the stud)--with the puller still tightened--it took some beating before I got it to come free..
In the process I hit the nut on the stud,I had left it on loosely to protect the threads but the nut went crooked from hitting it and though it unscrewed,I had to use a thread file to "fix" the threads and get the nut to go on straight again..
Then after that I discovered the like new Hecko steering stabilizer I had stashed away for decades still had that tapered stud in it!..

--so I kept the "fixed" one for a spare..that piece may be difficult to find separately ,so be gentle with it..they used to supply a new one with a new stabilizer ,but nowadays they tend to leave out those important PITA parts to find..that is why I hoard "everything"..
