I am wondering the best way to get steering arm studs out of a knuckle while it is still on the truck. I am not really worried about the old studs.

How much torque should the new steering studs be put in with and how exactly do I go about torquing the studs into the knuckle? Should I use blue locktight? Thanks

I welded on the nuts cause I was replacing them. 90 ft lbs for the new ones, just install the studs by hand, then the arm, then the cone washers and nuts, then torque down. I used the blue lock-tite on mine /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Sweet. that is what I was thinking but wanted to make sure. I just got my 4" studs and steering arm spacer from Sky so I need to install it so I can do crossover this weekend. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

My studs in my '60 could have damn near came out with my fingers. I double nutted them and they came out immediately.
