I'd like to upgrade my sloppy steering to eliminate wandering on my 89 K5, where can I get the XJ shaft?

Junkyards or on here.

You have the ORD box brace as well?

It's just a steering shaft from a late 80's to early 90's Jeep Cherokee XJ.

I have an extra one if you are interested.

When I put mine on, I took a torch and melted the plastic bushing so I could shorten it a little. Seems others had to extend theirs. No welding needed. If you need to adjust it, a rubber mallet will to the trick. Other than that, very easy upgrade.

Look for the XJ Shaft thread. Just search. Lots of info on that thread.

do I need to make mods etc? I have no welder nor do I know how to weld:D

I've got one on my 89 blazer and the only thing you have to do is a little grinding on the steering column shaft for the clamp bolt to clear.

So once the stock one is off, i would have to grind the shaft at the firewall. What are you wanting for it?

Go to the for sale section, there was a guy that had 4 of them for sale.
4x4high is telling you he has one on his blazer, not that it's for sale.
I got a few a while ago and sold them for $35 each.
Don't remember what this guy wanted for them.

Here's the one I have. Will return your PM in a moment.

I think Ernie is gonna have other stuff to deal with currently, his Dad just passed away. :(
