Im thinking on changing my steering wheel.

Has anyone put aftermarket steering wheel on their tilt column??

lets see em!!!
 
heres mine

95 gmc steering wheel, stock 85 tilt steering column...wheel is turmed to the right a lil...

pop the old one off and put that one right on, fit great and is nicer than the stock one. i pait 5 bucks for it at the local junkyard...
 
i think i have one at home, right now i have one with wood insert but it has a huge adapter/spacer like 3" long so you can imagine how it is

Direct swap, but I don't have a horn now.

Is the diameter alittle smaller than tghe original? That's what I want.

Go to your local self serve junkyard and look for a steering wheel from a '91-'94 Chevy Lumina. Either the van or sedan/coupe wheel will work. Its a very nice looking 3 spoke wheel with a thick grip and it has a cool looking Chevy bowtie in the middle of the horn button. Here is a pic of one:
