steering wheel housing rebuild kit?

My bearings are shot in my housing , the outer bearing on the column near the shift linkage is completely toast . I have been looking on the net for parts but kinda confused on what to get? Is it possible to replace just that bearing or is there a kit available? I've never rebuilt a column what kind of job is it? A 2 hr deal or I wish I would've bought another column deal lol?

That's a great write up, mine is toast on the other end. I finally got around to putting in the XJ shaft and noticed a shot out bearing .
