With the wheels straight, I have turned the gear box to center. Adjusted the draglink and I have great lock to lock steering. The only problem is that the steering wheel is pointing at two o clock. I do have the xj shaft installed, but it was like this with the stock rag joint. I removed the steering wheel to clock it at 12 oclock, but my memory failed and the horn turn signal return is in the way. No problem I thought, I'll remove and clock the lock plate as well, but no dice as its indexed. I thought I remembered that you could change the steering wheel like this, am I mistaken?

Use your drag link to make the slight adjustmant to center the wheel. Shouldn't take more than half a turn on the adjuster...

It's less than 1/4 turn of the wheel, I don't think you'll even notice.

If the wheel is pointing to the left, turn the sleeve on the draglink away from the engine. One full rotation should get you close if it's at two o'clock now.
