Does anyone run a custom half wrap steering wheel with the alum back? Seems like the back alum part of it would get pretty hot in the sun? A majority of the steering wheels seem to be built that way.

While I don't have experience with one of those steering wheels, I do know that you are correct about it getting hot. But it won't be as bad as black steel. I believe that it will be up to your personal feel if it is too bad. Could it be about like some of the black foam ones???? I don't know. I personally don't like the different texture split idea.
