anyone have a steering wheel installed that isnt so gianormous? whered u get it from? was it pretty straight forward to put on? I won't have a chance to look at it till i get back in town.

pics?

I swapped a factory 4 spoke wheel from an 88-up truck into mine. It's 15" in diameter versus 16"-17" for the factory original one I had. It's thicker and I find it's much more comfortable.

I also have a 4 spoke GMC steering wheel if you are interested.

Silver Grant Gt with four spokes (2 over 2 under) and black foam grip. Much smaller than the stock one of any year. Comfortable /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Install took less than a hour. The wheel was around 50 bucks and the adapter was around 15 bucks AutoZone.

If your into junk yardin. Almost all GM's from 65 up used the same steering wheel spline. In my old 76 blazer, I had a factory steering wheel from a 79 T/A in it. The wheel was burgundy leather, 3 spoke design. Bolted right on and cost me 15.00!!

I won this baby in a raffle along with a $25 certificate for the adapter.. I think its made by APC, I've seen 'em at Pep Boys for $150-160.

stock steering wheels are perfect, i dont know why alot of ppl hate them so much, they look great, they are not even very big, i like the 67-72 wheels even better, especially the 67 and 68 three spoke ones /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif they are great i keep any that i come across and caps too!

good luck
