Step side 3+3?

I saw this today while I was running around town. I'll have to stop and ask the owner about it someday. Did GM really make a 3+3 step side truck? or is this custom work?

Could be stock. They did have a longbed stepside.

Never offered stock, but the 8 foot stepside should just bolt up...which is what appears to have been done.

I'm slowly building a short stepisde 3+3...

Don't think that is factory, but like others said, would be a bolt on tho...

Now that I have computer again, I will post some pics of my crew cab short box....

There are many cases of the factory building things different from what was officically offered. I don't think beds have VINs, so it might be impossible to know for sure.
