Step-side and K5 same frame size

Can a steps side and cab fit on a 73-78 K5?

The short box frame is longer.

You'd have to remove the steps and shorten the box. Also add a cross member for the cabs rear body mounts. Backyardbilt did it, so it can be done.

Just so You Know 73-77 have the same frames. 78 was the first year that the rear floorboard was notched for the rear occupants, thus a different frame.
