Steps

I keep telling her I am getting her a bucket and a rope. Should work good.

Ha bucket and rope. Well that works for the bound ones but for the prospective ones the language is a bit more particular.

You pull them in and slide them under the seat when not in use..........the second photo is just so you can see that the front and back are both the same distance from the ground and level.:thumb:

Don't those swing all over? They look like they would make it more difficult to get in.

ever been on a horse?

they do move slightly, but not any more than ANY rope ladder/chain ladder I've every used. You plant your foot and grab the door and step up.

my 3 year old daughter get's in/out on her own..........if she can do it, anyone can!

just came up with a good Idea, make some sliders with a nerf-bar style step that goes into a reciever and you pull a pin on each end to let it lower down and out while driving around town and such and when you get off road just pull the pin and push them back up and against the body.

kinda a manual version of the power step....gonna be a bit but watch my thread for this to come to life!!!

dang I am glad I read this thread, never know when an idea will light up in your mind when you read stuff.

I just installed carr ii steps on my 77 and I wish I wouldve seen the chain idea first but they look nice but wheeling theyd get in the way.

Yes, but they have a saddle horn.

Meh, I don't need any help getting in my rigs, and don't feel sorry for anyone who can't get in.

How about chains mounted inside the cab? There sould be enough space between the door and the seat bracket, you could make some sort of small container to keep the chains from slipping out and keeping the door from closing when you don't want them out, so that when they're not in use they're also not dangling to catch on something. Then when she needs them, just pull them out of the container, drop em down- much cheaper hiding step than those stupid $1000 power steps.

Maybe that's what everyone else was getting at when they said chains, but I had pictures in my head of chains attached to the frame rails or something like that and figured there might be a slicker way to do it.
