stereo questions.

hey. i bought my truck with an old pioneer in it. the cd player stopped working so i put my old(new) alpine in it. i wired it up real nice and now it wont even turn on. i rewired it twice and still no dice. i checked the fuse and replaced it just for goo dmeasure. does anyone know anything else i could check?maybe another fuse?

The fuse you checked/replaced was it an in-line or the one in the fuse box? There is also usually a fuse on the back of the head unit.

Break out the test light and make sure there is power to the 2 power wires on the back.

Then check the truck's fuse, and the fuse in the back of the head unit. I freaked out when mine wouldn't turn on, and the fuse fell out of the back of the headunit while i was messing with it.

For a quick check, wire the yellow and red wires together and attach them to a wire you know has power. Yellow=constant, red= key-on
