the other day my rig was parked with the motor running and my girl was turning the steering wheel back n forth, i was under looking at the steering box and it was kinda moving? is this normal? i thought maybe the bolts were loose, so i tryed to tighten them, and they were tight? i looked around the frame and i didnt see any cracks? what up with this?
thanks

Best to take the box off and instect better for Cracks...

sounds like cracked frame or the bolt holes have ovaled out a little bit.

remove it and do what? what if there is no cracks? i mean it dont move a hole lot but i thought they shouldnt move at all, maybe im wrong.is there a upgrade kit or something? i thought i heard of something like that before

They have what you need. I think Tim also sells them, not sure anymore?(84ChevyK10) It should not move at all. Take it off the frame and inspect it. You probably have a crack somewhere you cannot see. If it is cracked buy the weld in repair kit and the brace kit! That way it won't happen again /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yes I do still sell them, I happen to have two of them left, one for 70s trucks, the other for 80s.

Not sure if I'm going to buy any more after these two sell off, but I am a dealer for the product.
