Any one have a proven solution to clean an oem rubberish steering wheel. Truck has been sitting I have been working to get it back on the road. Took for a test drive wheel is sticky to my hands and leaves them black. I have tried Dawn dish soap and hot water. Helped a little still sticky thou.

Plenty of threads on the subject but I was mostly successful with Clorox wipes.
It will clean it perfectly but it takes a few rounds depending on how thick the stuff is.
I start by scraping most of it first then go with the wipes

Thanks I'll try it. I did a search but it keyed on steering and results where overwhelming.
 
I’ve used a rag dipped in mineral spirits and it worked great and followed by a quick wipe down with some rubbing alcohol to clean up the surface.

The heat and age are breaking down your steering wheel just like time and usage is break’n all of us down…
