so I am building this 85 silverado LWB, right? and i bought these stock 56" springs from a cucv they have 9 leaves including the overload. well i got them installed today w/ my sf14b and dam* if it didnt lift it like 4". i didnt do a shackle flip b/c i wanted a DD and tow rig. i have a set of 2.5" TC EZ-Rides for the front and i'm worried they wont be enough to level the truck. i just wanted a little more of an aggresive stance not another jacked up toy. i figured those would be good rears to run and have plenty of spring for towing the blazer. i want it to be real stable but i'm afraid it will be too high for an effective tow rig. what should i do? i'm worried if i pull a couple leaves out it wont lower it enough and maybe be softer than i want for towing. i have never seen a stock 1-ton or cucv sit this high. help! thanks - justin

You're probably used to seeing civilian trucks with stock worn out springs. Chances are, the CUCV springs came off a low mileage truck and haven't seen much of a load on them to where they could settle past the "normal" stance of what you're used to seeing.

agreed. do you think the fronts will level it out? or if not is pulling leaves a good idea considering towing? i wouldnt hesitate if i were using them for the blazer or just crusing around, God knows they would ride better. oh and by the way, after switching to the 10b yolk the drive shaft fits perfectly.
