Where can I find a place to order a new transmission & transfercase crossmember,t-case skid plate. I googled it and couldnt come up with anything. I know someone had a site were you could get factory replacement ACdelco parts( IE backing plates and such for the front axle).

Welp I'ma have to find some used ones or fab up some. Anywho ive got my t-case and trans sitting on a table here at work and the clocking ring is on the t-case and waiting on my lazy a$$ to rebuild it. I'm buying 4inch springs for the front and a shackle flip for the rear to combine with some 63s which should be on by the end of the month. And new truck payments suck.

Im going to look at some crossmembers tomorrow to see if they can fit my K5. Both of the possible donors are 85s and I not sure if either crossmember will fit mine. I looked up the crossmember at work here and it was listed 1987-1991 so I dunno. Also gotta pick up a 360 and a D30 front for my soon to be brother in-laws CJ.

Which adapter do you have between your tranny and transfer case; short or tall? This determines which crossmember you need.
Jimbo

its about 4 inches from the trans output to the tcase, 6 bolts hold it on, and how can i tell if its tall or short?

Take pictures of the adaptor between the tranny and t-case. Then we can determine which crossmember you need.

BTW, GM no longer makes, offers or sells replacement crossmembers or skidplates.
I bought a few skidplates several years ago and then a few years ago tried to buy more but they were discontinued. I still have the NOS plates here at home.
