stock gear ratio

I'm gonna recalibrate my speedometer and i need to know my gear ratio. I have a 1991 fulsiz, of course. GM Corporate 10-bolt (8.5-in. 1.28 Axle Dia. 30 Spline). What is the gear ratio?

The lil metal tag on the diff cover will tell you, or pull the cover off and get the #'s off the ring gear.

If you know for sure that it still has the stock axles you could get the RPO code from the glove box. It usually starts with a "G"

You can also refer to your RPO tag in your glovebox. You should have either a GT or GU code in the list somewhere. Let us know the code and we can tell you your ratio.
