stock gears

what do stock 84 k5 automatic have for stock gears.
wanted to recalibrate my speedo and I'm not sure if there 3.08 or something else

Standard ratio in 1984 was 2.73:1

You can't usually just say I have stock gears. My 85 came stock with 3.73 gears. Some came with 3.42 gears, others with 3.08's and 2.73's. You have to check it out.

Check your glovebox. If it says, "Rear axle, standard ratio" you have 2.73s.

Yep, what Tim said. My trucks R&P ratio was printed in the glovebox on the options sticker since my gears were the option.

My sticker was gone when I looked!!! But I'm pretty sure I've got 3.08's or 2.73's....its brutal with 33' and a 305. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
