I am wanting to run a 16" wheel on my 72 suburban. I am looking to keep the appearance as stock as possible. Anyone have a set of 72 4x4 hubcaps that they could measure for me? This will be for a k-20 3/4 ton. I have located a nice set of steel GM wheels that are setup for hubcaps but they are 16" diameter, Most likely from a 70s or 80's Chevy truck. What's the interchange on them?

Bolt patters will be the same if that is what you are asking.

I am asking about the stock hubcap fitment. I realize the wheel bolt pattern is the same.

The stock dog dish hub cabs on my '82 K2500 (in my avatar) look the same as half ton earlier ones, but I do not know if 15" ones will snap on the stamping on a 16" rim or not--might be the same ?..only sure way to tell would be to try one and see I guess..

I know Ford 16" ones will fit and work on my 16" rims,I ran a few of those in a pinch to keep road salt off the lug nuts..

I remember using the stock dog dish hub caps off my '72 K5's stock 15" rims on stock GM 6 lug 16.5" rims I got off a '71 GMC K1500 (6 lugs)..before I found a set of baby moons at a swap meet for 10 bucks!..so maybe they will fit 16" rims too ?..1972 K5 Blazer 4x4 001.jpg

I was hoping they would. I found a really nice set of OEM steel wheels that are 16". I would rather run them than a 15 for tire selections and still keep the factory appesrance. I didn't want to locate a nice set of 72 k20 hub caps to find out they wouldn't fit on the wheels.
