So, on this 80 K5 I just picked up, I have 2" lift blocks in the rear so that's easy, but not sure on the front. Anybody have a measurement on their stock front height, and how did you measure it?
Thanks in advance, this place is great! :D

Center of hub to fender opening is best way to determine lift. Dont have measurement handy but im sure someone else will post it

Top of the front axle up to where the up travel snubber meets the bracket is 12.5” stock

That might be 4”. Let me check lol

Just under 9"

I believe 8.5" is factory. A lot have 2" rear blocks to level them out. Does it have two or three front springs?

That would be F60 "Heavy Duty Front Springs". Two front springs was standard.

How wide are the front springs ?

Iirc factory spring are wider than aftermarket. Doesn't mean they haven't been rearched

Whatcha guys think, can I get away with 33x12.5 BFG's on 8" wide rally wheels on stock lift?

Are the wheel wells on the 80 smaller like a 73-79? The later squares have some more room on the back

My 33x12.5/15s rubbed on stock sacked out springs, but not awful bad

I thought if your tires don't rub that meant they are to small. ;)

Having the three front springs helps with that. If they rub, add a zero rate.

What gears?

The '80 fenders are the same as '73-'79.

The front clips are the same. The square head lamps use the exact same radiator support as the round head lamps. There are just additional bolt on head lamp buckets to adapt the radiator support. Hence the front of a square head lamp truck being flat across the front.

Haven't checked the gear ratio yet, but guessing 3:73

So I was expecting 3" or 2.5" hmm sounds like might be factory springs
