Does anybody know what is the stock ride height on a K5? Mine is a 1979. I need to replace my spring pack and wanted to know what is stock ride height, and where is it measured, so I can get the right one. Bought it as it is. Think it is a 2.5, fits 33 great. My torque side is sagging.

If it has the stock springs, they will probably be sagging down the wrong way (They started out flat). They usually have only two leaves also. 33s may fit fine at the stock height. If there's any arch to them at all, they may be 2.5"s, but I doubt anyone would put such a short lift on their Blazer. My truck had the stock saggy springs and 33s when I got it and they didn't rub or anything.

They got some arch to them. I had to install 1.5 lift blocks in the rear to level it out.

Hey. you know what they say when you ASSUME. ;) I am running rough country 2" lift on my truck. I had worn out OEM leafs and wanted to upgrade but wanted to limit my lift. So , I went with 2" spring lift all around and am running Bilstein 5150s along with 33 x 12.5 x 15 M/T baja radials. I think it is a good combo for a DD and I can take long trips, etc. Backed with 4:10 gears and 700r tranny. I get the best off both worlds for running low end and highway speeds. :D

I like your thinking. I bought it as it is. Sucks, because I cant find the previous owner to ask. All I know is it does actually have 87,000 miles on it, and the person who had took extreme care of it. The 33s clear way to easy. If I remember right about 10 years ago me and my friend put a 2 inch lift on a 1/2 to pickup, and it cleared the 33s as well as mine does.

Thanks

That's got to be better than the old saggy originals. You may just have the right ride height for what you need.
