Did a lot of searching and Im looking to mount the stock seats to the roll cage. Has anyone modified the sliders to work? Just looking for pics or any info or ideas. TIA
Look in the first gen forum a post about mounting harnesses to cage. There are some pics there how I mounted my aftermarket seats and harnesses to cage, no reason stock seats couldn't be done using the same method.
I plan on pulling a set of sliders out of a junkyard for my drivers seat tomorrow. I am thinking about trying to recess them down into the tubes that are holding my seats in now. Probably notch the tubes and just weld the sliders in the notch so it doesn't mess with the height of the seat. As it is set up now only a giant like me can reach the pedals. I will let you know how it turns out.
thanks guys, I looked and some good ideas there. I also like the idea of notching for the slider that sounds like something that will work in my situation.
Alright here is how I did mine, it is sunk in about 3/4" in the front. I had to modify the sliders a fair amount to get it all to work out right but that was expected.
kinda hard to tell...caviler seats without sliders...my seat bar is tied into my boatsides then mt exo...my trans mount is tied in to be seat bar,the the trans, then the flat belly then the frame...its alot going on
