im wanting to get between 6-7" of lift out of my stock spring in the rear with my shackle flip. im going to use a zero-rate, but i still want another inch or two. anybody have any experience with add-a-leafs from tuff country, superlift or skyjacker? how much is that going to add to the spring rate?

i think mine were rough country and were 2 inch AAL long ones and they netted about an inch. ive also got a procomp short style one which added about another inch. basically theyre just helpers. both of those combined and a zero rate with 4 inch flip ive got about 7-8. they ****ed up my shackle anlgle though as its vertical. it rides like a cement truck

im soon changin it to a 56 with one long AAL and zero rates, then a longer shackle. that ought a net the same lift but ride WAY better.

With shackle flip you can use ORD or DIY4x4s longer HD shackles, they have diff. sizes for diff. lifts.

Use the shackle flip and a 6" shackle for 5" of lift. zero rate makes 6. BUT, my stock 56" springs started to sag bad and i got about 5" now. I think im going to get 1" lift perches instead of AAL's.

yea i wish i had gotten the 1" perches when i ordered mine from kert. im definitely going to run a zero-rate, and i believe the shackles im running on my shackle flip are like 7" (shackles were ment for lowering ifs chevy's). so the long and short aal's make it ride like crap? would i be better off just taking a couple leafs out of another set of stock springs to add to them? these would be going on stock 64's

no the ****ty shackle angle given by a higher arched spring but still the same length main leaf is what makes it ride like crap.

I've actually got 2 AAL's on each side to give about 2-3" of lift, but it rides hard. Stiffened it up so it pulls a trailer great, but unloaded, it's so hard I think its screwing up my back going over the speed bumps at the gate entrance for the base.
