Hopefully, a quick question....

I want to go shackle flip, but my stock springs are bad. Where can I get some new stock springs without paying a fortune? All I'm finding is lifted springs.

Thanks.

junkyard pal, or JC Whitney sells stock replacements for around 120-150 bucks. you should expect to pay 20-65 bucks from a yard. hope that gets you started. junk yards are your friend:D

I had the same problem finding stock rear springs. I am half way through my shakle flip. I found a 4x4 shop in southern Ohio that has stock ride height springs. They had 5 leafs for about $120 each and 7 leafs for $140 each. I got the 7 leafs, they are nice, to be honest I don't know what brand they are but they are quality. I didn't know what to expect when I went to check them out but as soon as I saw them I bought them. They are deff. better than what JC Whitney has cause I almost bought a set JC Whitney's springs from another shop but I wanted to look around some more. Sorry I don't remember where you said you were in WV so I don't know if this is helpfull or not. If you are interested I could get you their number, but shipping cost on something that heavy would SUCK (if they even are willing to ship stuff???) GOOD LUCK

you can get springs from NAPA if you have those down there. junkyard springs will be the same as what you have, worn out. i've been playing around with used springs with my 52" swap up front and 56" rear swap, should just buy new ones and be done with it tho.

What about using the 2.5" shackle flip with 2" lifted springs? That would give me 4.5 in the rear and help out with saggy ass.

Do I lose anything by doing it that way versus the 4" shackle flip and the stock springs?

This would actually be a real good way to go:wink1:

The flatter spring will have more flex but the difference here is minimal.
