no problem, why dont you just get an aftermarket open air filter element instead of the closed in (stock) style?

I have one with a prefilter but water still gets in. I want to run an enclosed assembly and turn the inlet towards the firewall. The swamps we wheel in are wet all year long. Last time out the brake pedal was under water. Sucks to stall due to water injection. Especially when you are in waist deep water.

Seems to me it might be a better exercise to go the full snorkel route if you're swampin'
