What size wheels came on a K5 from the factory? 15" or 16"?

Fred

16 and 16.5" were available back in 69-72 and before then, i have the gm sheets and RPO codes and descriptions to prove it, also with certain packages aluminum turbines and also white wagons came on some of them, and there are several ads that show such wheels on these certain package trucks,

Yabbut the 16"s only came on 3/4+ tons.

As I said the last time this was posted... look on The Brochures Page for 1973; the last page of the Blazer lists all the tire options, and all are for 15" wheels.

Like I said, 16 inch wheels have only become popular in the last 10-15 years. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif When I first got into wheeling, about the only 16-inch offroad tire that you could find were the old military 9.00x16 gravediggers. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

15" was the standard size for Blazers.
You could get 650-16" tires as an option on 69 and up till around 1978. After that I think GM only put on 15" rims Blazers. Chevy also offered 10.00- 16.5" for Blazers too.
The link in above post to the specs page lists both 16 and 16.5 tires as an option.

Crikey, I can't read my own web pages.

I stand corrected. Link is right, Aaron's an idiot. Mind you, I've never *seen* a Blazer of that vintage with anything but 15"'s ... but the possibility existed!

And I think I gotta rescan some of those old ones... my eyes hurt! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
