My buddy has a camper special K20 70's year model... He says the truck is bone stock and the body is okay. But the whole frame is painted white. Was this ever a stock option or did someone actually paint the whole thing? The top of the rails are white also and it looks white behind each bracket, so i dont know. Ideas?

Mine was white when I bought it. Its an 84 frame and stock as far as I know.

My cousin had a '76 bicentennial edition Camper Special GMC 3/4 ton. It was a 4x4 and as best I remember it had a white frame. i remember getting under it to see if the frame was warped after a side flop he did and left it sitting in a barn on opposite flats. Anyway, the whole paint scheme was very unusual to me with the red, white and blue theme.

interesting. wonder if theres any info in some of the sales brochures about that?

Not about the frame -- the ones in the pix are painted yellow for cutaway views (ewww!)

I think I have something on the '76 GMC editions...
