The Blazer has some steel rallies on it. Not sure if they're the original '89's but they should be what, 15x7's? 15x8's?

What would the backspacing be, 3.5"?

Yeah I could take them off and measure/look...but common, I'm lazy and you guys are here.

My Rally wheels are 15x8 with 4" backspace IIRC. The mounting pad is pretty much on the center line of the wheel.
 
I'll have to check. Seems like no one agrees.

Not having much luck finding stockers here...might just reuse mine after cleaning them up. Dunno.

Then again...maybe 265/75R16's on some 16x7's...hrmmmm...
 
i never had stock ones,but ive heard they were either 15x7 with 3.5 bs or 15x8 with 4 bs.it was an option i believe to have the wider wheels.most common was 15x7 w/ 3.5 bs i do believe.
 
Most common you see is 15x8. If you pop the trim ring off you might see the code and/or size stamped into the area around the valve stem, or at least on that same area somewhere around the wheel. Otherwise its stamped inside the wheel (under the tire). :(

No idea on backspacing, I just know they don't stick out of the wheelwell like so many I see aftermarket. :)

3.5" sounds right, but it could depend on width. That HAS to have been measured and posted before.
 
im at work right now, but just remembered ive got a stock blazer steelie sitting in the screen room at home. When i get home at the end of the day (8-9pm) ill go out and do a quick measure for you.
 
In all likelyhood I'm getting some 16x8's with 4" of backspacing soon.

That said I'll probably keep these and clean them up. Maybe keep my eyes open for some 33" Swampers or something.
 
At one time I had over 20 of these , I am down to about 8 or 9 . All were 15x8 , centered as mentioned before , and coded JJ :D

Stock tie rod ends are pretty close to the rubber with 12.5 inch wide 33's and 35's . Never seemed to touch or rub when tire pressure was low and I was wheeling .

15's will end up going the way of the dinosaur before too long , except for pizza cutters for cars smaller than Malibus . I may have to go 16 or 17 myself someday .
 
I just like tall/narrow(ish) tires. A 265/75R16 works out to a tall 32"x10.5R16 tire. Hard to find something like that in a 15" rim size.
 
Not much choice, but BFG makes three, and I think Interco makes one.

BFG has an MT and AT KO in 33x10.5R15, not sure what their 33x9.5R15 designation is (MT or AT).

Agreed on the 15" wheels, although not sure that they can be completely done away with, there are too many cars and trucks from the 70's through 80's that use them and are rapidly becoming "classics". Selection becoming limited and the price increasing, yes.
 
I'd say the standards - 31x10.5R15, 33x12.5R15, 35X12.5r15, etc will always be there. I'd say we'll see more of the bigger sizes loosing 15" rims though.

That seems to be the reasonable norm. Have you found any decent prices on something with those specs? I wanted to go with the Cragar Soft 8's (can't beat 60 bucks a wheel) but I could only find them with 4.5" BS and I don't want to run aluminum wheels.

I'm currently running 33x12.50's on aluminum 15x10" wheels with 4" of BS and the tie rod ends are uncomfortably close...enough that I had to have the wheels rebalanced with stick-on weights cause the crimp-ons were getting scraped off.
 
knock the centers out of the factory rallye wheels and buy new 15x10 rim shells from MRW and weld your centers in.......cheap, easy alternative to buying new wheels and you can set your back spacing at anything you want........
