Stolen Truck in SoCal...Urgent!!!

That looks a lot like a k10 i saw on craigslist for LA/OC a few weeks back when i was looking around. Was your buddy trying to sell it? Perhaps the theives got some information about the location through the sale ad?

Thanks for the help fellas. I actually went outta town just after I posted up about it being stolen. My wife saw Chuck (my buddy) at the grocery store and has no news. He was trying to sell it on Cragislist and told my wife he thought that it may have been a "potential buyer" who came to see it at one point. He thinks they were watching their house because his wife is a stay home mom and is there all day with the two kids. She had to leave for several hours to take the kids somewhere fro 2-4pm and that is when they stole the truck. Said it is a very creepy feeling to know that someone was watching them. Chuck told my wife that it is either a different color or is being parted out by now.

This in one reason I have LO-Jack on my rig and am having a tech come out to my house to test it to make sure it is still good and working properly. I have also removed the steerng wheel from her. Big Blzn sleeps in the garage every night anyways but I need to look into getting a kill switch installed asap. I, ocasionally, have to leaver her outside during the day on the weekends while I am working on the house or garage and will sometimes leave to run to Depot. NO ANY MORE!!!.

Thanks again guys.

Definetely dont want that to happen to your first gen. They are worth too much to replace and most insurances wont cover the replacement. The one I built for my wife stays in a storage double locked with a gate (must have access code). I had a hard time getting insurance to cover the replacement value on ours, so I just parked it. Everytime, I pull her blazer out of storgae for service, it attracts more attention than any of our other vehicles. I hope they find it in one piece. If not in one peice, hopefully, they can track down the people who tore it apart and rip their n@#$ off! I dont know if this would help but does he have his old cell phone records. Maybe he can track the potential buyer down? I am sure he had alot of calls though...

its not a first gen, I thought were talking about a stolen pickup not k5
