Not really a build thread but a checklist. The trucks going back on the road in a week or two. I'm starting to lean towards keeping the pig ****er bitch whore and just having fun and actually wheeling...

If any of you recall my thread a few months ago I bought an 86 Olds 442. So I've been doing floors in that and its pretty much tieing up my garage. My initial plan is to make the cold season my wheeling season and make the warm season my rodding season. Which means that the car will get wrenched in the winter and the truck in the summer.

I do have a minor checklist for getting the bitch back on the road though.

Square tube front shaft

Finish my front bumper

Re-install my winch I took off because I thought I was gonna sell the truck

And do square tube rockers, finally.

I dont know what the master plan is for it. It might go back under the knife come spring time. I was considering trying to find a crew cab for it or even looking into hacking the back of the cab off and making an ext cab like the pipeline trucks.

I'm definitely going to redo the bed. I've got to get the tank mounted high, way more clearance for the tires instead of a flat deck straight across, gonna ditch the cheapo aluminum boxes that the hinges froze on. Its definitely finally gonna become an 8 lug. And I was tossing around the idea of doing radius arms in the front which would mean I'd be switching to a dana 60...

so whats the plan for the little truck you were gonna build and throw the diesel in?

So I think I've come up with a simple solution to my storage issue in my cab. I'm considering mounting some sort of box tight to the back of the cab and opening up a hole in the cab to access it from inside. has anyone seen this done before?

O and I have an SYE NP241 the truck will be getting with cv shafts at both ends.

Looks like it'll get 1 ton'd and MTRs when the TSLs are shot.

Well its just not really possible for me to start building a truck from the ground up now that I have the cutlass. I dont have the room to have a non rolling project. I'll probably part out the diesel since its all in pieces. And part out the toy front axle I have. Hell the toy axle is worth more in parts than it is together...

i cant remember which diesel you picked up. i remember it being a mercedes? but whats the power numbers on it? if its possible i would put it in your truck and go with it

Nah its too weak. Like 135hp and 235 ftlbs.

If my truck ever get a diesel it'll be a 4bt or a 6.5td
