Straight six in a K5

I built up a 250 in my '69 two wheel drive with .060 flat top pistons, rv cam, high volume oil pump and the aluminum/steel timing gears and a new stock one barrel. I had 33's in the back and 31's in the front with a 465 backing it and 4:11 in the rear. it would smoke the tires in first, second and chirp into third. I also, as a joke, hooked up to a 60 foot trailer house and pulled it off its cinder blocks. 65 on the highway though.

heard of thats pretty cool. Makes me want to build like a 70s pickup with a straight six and some forced induction.

I saw a '32 chevy with a slant six, with a 6-71 blower in it in a old Hot Rod mag, it looked sweet!!!, it looked like a normal small block car from the side, from the front you could see somthing was off, the blower was off set to the drivers side pretty cool car he said he was pushin 500 HP

i have seen a 1/2 ton 4x4 sb with 6 cyl and tree stick with 205. and 1/2 ton 2x4 truck with 6 cyl th 400 combo. all both factory.

The best thing about it was it came with optional 4.10's for the 75 version. The v8 version only had one option, and we know what they all come with - 3.08 doggies!

I have one right now. 70 K5, 250 with three speed, 3.73 gears, no power steering or brakes. Where I live at 8000 ft it does fine, goes down the road at 65-70 no problem. Plenty of low end torque, sometimes I think I forgot to lock in the hubs cause it'll spin both axles in mud and snow.
